"Slow down, what happened?"
The waiter quietly retreated a step, lowered his head, having no sense of presence at all.
Alexa Gatten lowered her voice and said, "Mr. Rinto, Aubree Groove has disappeared."
"Disappeared?"
Alexa Gatten gingerly continued: "I was just with Aubree in the back garden, getting some air. Aubree had some wine and was feeling a bit dizzy, so she sat on the park bench to rest. She mentioned that she was thirsty, so I went to pour her some water. When I came back, Aubree was gone. I've searched the whole garden, but I can't find her. Could something have happened to her?"
Agave Rinto calmly commanded, "Finnian Moore, start investigating."
Finnian Moore immediately left.
The entire hall suddenly buzzed with chatter. Everyone started whispering about what could have happened to Aubree. Had she drunk too much and fallen asleep somewhere, or...was she kidnapped?
