"If you don't want to talk that's fine, Mom got you a leave of absence from school. You can rest at home these next few days. The kitchen is preparing all your favorite foods," Virginia Frost reassured.
She instructed the servant waiting by the door, "Prepare all the young master's favorite dishes."
The servant nodded and left.
Virginia softly caressed the young man's thin face, her eyes filled with heartache.
The young man turned his face, Virginia's hand brushed past his cheek and hung awkwardly in the air.
A momentary stiffness crossed Virginia's face as she frowned and said, "Why are you still angry at me? If something is disturbing you, please let me know. I can bear it with you."
The young man closed his eyes and remained silent.
Virginia gazed at her son's cold indifference that distanced him from everyone. An unexpected fear arose within her.
