Aubree Groove paused for a moment, murmuring softly, "Is he dead?"
Seeing her like this, Kelly Martinez felt a pang in her heart too, "Thanks to you, he is hanging on by a thread, but it's not much different from being dead."
"Take me to see him."
Through the glass door of the Intensive Care Unit, Aubree saw that the man lying on the bed was full of tubes, and the machines were emitting sharp and ear-piercing sounds.
The once lively and strong-willed young man was now immobile, a step away from death.
"Your uncle has done his best, but his injuries are too severe. The fact that he is still hanging on is a miracle."
Kelly Martinez patted her shoulder, "You better prepare yourself mentally."
"Aubree, how are you up?" Peter Aria rushed over as soon as he heard from the nurse that Aubree was awake.
Aubree stared unwaveringly into the ward, "Is there any way to save him?"
