Aubree Groove laughed softly.
"Happy New Year."
The tense atmosphere was suddenly disrupted by hurried footsteps.
Aubree's gaze passed over Anton Cook's shoulder to the approaching man, a middle-aged man of about 1.75 meters tall. His square face and single-fold eyelids exuded an urgent delinquent aura, hinting at his difficult and unpleasant nature.
The man bellowed, "Where are everyone? Where the hell are they?"
Suddenly, the man's tirade abruptly stopped, eyes wide open, as if he had spotted something breathtaking.
Anton Cook turned around and saw the unabashed lust on the man's face. A flash of disgust crossed his eyes as he positioned his tall frame in front of Aubree, perfectly shielding her from view.
Blocked from the beauty, unable to fully appreciate her charm, the man hurriedly took two steps forward.
Seeing the man's presumptuous behaviour, Anton Cook rebuked coldly, "What do you think you're doing?"
