Hearing Rico Clark call himself a bastard child, Kiara clenched her fists in anger, but Mario Yuno immediately took her hand, signaling her to relax. Kiara touched her swollen belly, and that calmed her down.
"Rico, who in the world calls their own child a bastard? I get that you're upset she's ungrateful, but you're short on Money and need a bone marrow match—why not try your daughter?"
Right!
That's what Kiara was thinking, too.
She was puzzled why Rico Clark wouldn't seek her out for a match. Even Arlong had been approached by him. This guy was so greedy and afraid of death; how could he not turn to her? She definitely didn't believe Rico was too bashful—his skin was thicker than a city wall.
"She's not my child, so the match wouldn't work! Do you think I don't want to find her? Now all I can do is swindle more Money from her to save my own life. Enough talking, come on, let's play cards!"
