But when they got downstairs of their home, Kiara felt she should stop before going too far. Rico Clark had been teasing her all the way, and if she kept this up, it was easy to escalate and intensify the conflict.
Kiara thought to herself that as long as this guy took the initiative to say one more thing, she would follow his lead, lay all the cards on the table, and then they could turn the unpleasant page.
But after speaking all the way there and seeing that Kiara didn't really respond, he stopped talking.
When they got downstairs to their place, Kiara felt frustrated to see him get out of the car without a word. Look! One shouldn't get too cocky, because getting too cocky leads to a downfall.
