Kiara was left utterly disappointed by the phone call; the previously harmonious atmosphere was no more, and her small face was as taut as anything. No matter how Mario Yuno and Yuzo Joel tried to amuse her, she remained expressionless.
Seeing her so upset, Mario Yuno stood up, ready to leave. He planned to take advantage of Kiara's inattention to check which underground bank had given the loan to Rico Clark. Kiara called out to him with a cold face.
"Stop right there, where do you think you're going?"
"To the bathroom."
Kiara snorted coldly, "Lying about going to investigate Rico Clark, huh? A man who tells lies has no balls!"
"...Daughter-in-law, mind the prenatal education."
Mario Yuno felt quite helpless; the notion of 'pregnancy brain' for three years clearly didn't exist, as his wife was too sharp and figured things out in an instant.
