"Assist me?!" Kiara was surprised, thinking to herself that she, a junior doctor, wasn't quite influential enough to have a world-class authority "assist" her, right?
After a moment's thought, Kiara understood.
This was Yuzo Joel giving her face, wasn't it? He must feel that she wasn't doing well enough and wanted to solve it personally?
"Do you have a different plan?"
"Sort of. Here's what you'll do: sit outside, eat some cake, drink some milk, and watch how I handle it." The implication from Yuzo Joel was that he was about to give Kiara a live demonstration.
"My daughter-in-law can handle it herself. What do you need to meddle for?" Mario Yuno was unhappy. His daughter-in-law had clearly been doing well, and she would have succeeded after a few more tries. Was this old man trying to swoop in and steal the limelight? No way he was letting that happen!
