Brother Wu Hamilton swallowed hard, as if Mr. Larry wasn't twisting equipment, but his neck instead. Such a thick pipe, yet Mr. Larry twisted it as if it was a toy—utterly barbaric.
"That Jack," he said, "we'll talk about Yuzo Joel later. I've got other things to deal with, so I'm leaving first."
Professor Unos practically had wind under his feet as he quickly made his escape, fearing that if he lingered any longer Mr. Larry would use him as a tension device to twist around.
Back in their youth, these two old men fought over Professor Liu Taylor, and even after more than thirty years, Professor Unos hadn't forgotten how much that hurt. He tended to speak ill of Mr. Larry whenever he got the chance, reminded of the fist that had shattered his glasses.
Mr. Larry, without any courtesy, kicked the door shut with a loud bang and spat at the already closed door.
"Living so long yet not mending his ways, pah!"
