Back in his new house, Camden put the alcohol and dishes he had snatched back together with the skewers he had just bought on the roadside and asked Kiara with great seriousness.
"Friend, what do you think of this place?"
"It's nice, just lacking a female host." He was enjoying himself, and she was playing along energetically.
"You shouldn't talk about women when drinking—uh, although an appropriate conversation might actually benefit family harmony." Camden, deeply engrossed in his role, almost blurted out the classic line men often use when they drink and pretend to be something they're not. Sensing a murderous vibe, he quickly changed his tune, putting on a righteous expression.
"How about I tell you how good my woman is?"
