Five minutes later, Arabella Vanderbilt returned to her room.
Seeing Joel Russo, and recalling the violent, bloody scene she had just witnessed, she felt somewhat intimidated to face him.

"It didn't really count for much. I thought you would be braver," he replied.
Arabella Vanderbilt licked her lips, "Killing someone is punishable by death. I don't want to trade a life for a life, especially not for someone like that."
Then, remembering what Joel Russo had said earlier, she cautioned him worriedly, "You can't kill anyone either, do you understand? Especially you—trading a life for a life is not worth it!"
Joel Russo's lips twitched imperceptibly as he counter-asked, "What's your plan now?"
