Joel Russo's heart-stopping face instantly turned dark.
"Joel Russo, do you really not know what I meant by asking for an alpaca?"
Alpaca? As in, 'Fuck your mother'?
Was that woman cursing at him?
He immediately redialed Arabella Vanderbilt's number.
"You're cursing at me?"
Arabella paused for a moment, his reaction was really slow.
Leaning against the office desk, she slightly curved her lips, denying it.
"When did I curse at you? What did I curse at you for?"
"..." There was no sound on the other end of the phone.
Arabella pursed her lips, struggling to hold back her laughter, anticipating some coarse words to come out of his mouth.
"Go ahead and gloat. Sooner or later, you'll pay the price. This is just the first tally, you'll repay it all at once when the time comes."
Seeming to have guessed that Arabella was laughing, Joel Russo fell silent for a while, then his voice arose, full of meaningful pleasure.
