The elevator doors slowly opened, and Arabella Vanderbilt let go of him. The two of them stepped out of the elevator without saying a word. However, Arabella's legs went weak, and she leaned against Joel Russo's chest.
Joel Russo held her from behind and asked in a low voice,
"What's the matter?"
Her cheeks, already flushed, turned even redder.

He didn't speak again; instead, he wrapped his arms around her waist and picked her up horizontally.
