Joel Russo didn't deny it, his voice low.
"Mm."
The office door closed automatically, and Arabella Vanderbilt stood at the doorway, motionless.
Joel Russo slightly curved his lips, looked up at her, and asked in a gentle voice, "Why are you here?"
Arabella Vanderbilt smirked, "Your wonderful Special Assistant specifically emphasized that you had to work overtime tonight and couldn't have dinner. The new apartment I found is just a ten-minute walk from your company."
Joel Russo's gaze fell on the insulated food container she was holding, and his dark eyes brightened slightly.
After a moment of thought, Arabella still walked into the office, carrying the food container to the coffee table.
"Make sure you eat. I'll be going now."
Arabella Vanderbilt smiled faintly and turned to head toward the door.
Her hand grasped the doorknob and at the instant she cracked open the door, a large hand reached over her head, pushing the door closed again.
