Nanny Richardson returned to the room and after some thought, she still decided to call Joel Russo.
"Hmm," came a low and indifferent voice.
"Sir, are you still at the company?"
Despite Nanny Richardson's utmost caution, it still caused a slight movement in Joel Russo's polished brow.
A half-second of silence was enough to double the pressure she felt.
She knew the master disliked anyone keeping tabs on his schedule.
She quickly added, "Miss Vanderbilt said she would wait to have dinner with you."
A hint of surprise flickered through Joel Russo's profound eyes. His gaze swept over the documents beside him, and after musing for two seconds, he finally closed the file in his hand.
"I'll be right back," he said.
"...Yes, sir!" Nanny Richardson hesitated for half a second before responding.
