For a merchant, this is a bit of a contradiction.
There is a pavilion next to the man-made lake up ahead, and the two of them, in unspoken agreement, walk towards it.

As they get closer to the pavilion, the ripples on the lake become visible under the lights, shimmering and indistinct.
