Arabella Vanderbilt had a bad feeling and turned to grab his hand.
"You don't need to deal with this matter, and it's not the only issue between Juliana Vanderbilt and me. I'll handle it myself."
Joel Russo turned around, looked down into her eyes for a long time, and then his deep voice slowly rose above her head.
"Fine. You can handle it yourself. But I can't promise that I won't intervene. Whatever you want to do, just do it. If you cause trouble, I'll cover for you."
Arabella Vanderbilt curled her lips slightly, looking up at him, she softly said,
"Just do it? What if you find out I'm not as kind as you think?"
Joel Russo smiled as well, approaching her, and bent down close to her, his dark, glossy eyes swirling with light.
He parted his lips, his voice low and graceful,
"My woman doesn't need to be so kind."
Arabella Vanderbilt's eyes flickered.
