Her heart, for some reason, suddenly stirred as she looked at the cute face of the child, feeling an unexpected softness within.
The child did not speak, but rather, waved a pair of arms, blowing out two milk-sweet words toward Arabella Vanderbilt, "Hug hug."
Arabella Vanderbilt was almost melted by the child's voice, and she immediately opened her arms to carefully embrace the little one.
Her manner was somewhat awkward and deliberate.
The baby hugged her neck and planted a "pop" of a kiss onto her fair cheek.
