Arianna Morrison watched Monica Baldwin and Victor Chadwick leave, her face filled with embarrassment, because she hadn't anticipated Victor to cherish Monica this much.
"Arianna, it seems your days to come will not be easy ones," said the old professor with disapproval. In spite of his usual pride and arrogance, he didn't take Victor's words to heart, "if you do not educate this woman properly, she could potentially ruin the Chadwick family in the future."
Arianna Morrison did not answer, only her eyes quietly took on a shade of coldness.

On the way back, Victor Chadwick surveyed Monica Baldwin from head to toe, afraid that she might have sustained some kind of injury. After all, Monica had almost been harmed a few times before, which left Victor traumatized.
"I'm fine," Monica Baldwin grasped Victor's hand, "I'm totally fine."
