Upon returning to the hotel, Victor Chadwick immediately pulled Monica Baldwin into the bathroom. After she had washed away her fatigue, he asked her, holding her close: "What time does filming start tomorrow?"
"Huh... 4 a.m.," Monica Baldwin responded groggily.
Victor Chadwick held her tight, breathing in her scent from her hair.
Subconsciously, Monica Baldwin snuggled into Victor Chadwick's arms. She pressed her face to his chest, murmuring, "I miss you."
"I'm here."
Monica Baldwin let out a soft hum of acknowledgement, as if she was suddenly at peace. She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep, while Victor Chadwick quietly got up and carefully examined Monica's leg for any wounds.
