"I think, Ashton won't let you attend this interview," Victor Chadwick said in his lowest possible voice to Monica Baldwin. "You are challenging her bottom line. How could she possibly let it go easily?"
"If she tolerates you stepping on her head, then other models can also follow suit. Then she...will lose the authority that a corporate president should have."
"She was the one who challenged my bottom line first," Monica responded calmly. "Doesn't a model have dignity? Aren't we merely playthings for her to manipulate, all to maintain her dignity?"
"You know that's not what I mean. I'm just worried that she will take a swipe at you," Victor hurriedly explained.
"I know that's not what you mean. I'm just lamenting that, in this world, most people are denied fairness. And, for Ashton, is the feeling of manipulating others really that important?"
