Back at the hospital.
Alexander Stuart headed directly to the ward where Ella Lacey was staying.
She was obediently lying there.
"Miss Ella, you've done well. I'm sure Mr. Gong is delighted." Alexander was in total agreement with Ella's approach. For the sake of the child, one could politely decline any event.
Even a get-together with a close girlfriend.
"Doctor Stuart, you didn't tell him about my fetal movement, did you?" Ella asked anxiously.
"Miss Ella, rest assured, I didn't say anything."
Alexander was standing at the head of her bed. He proceeded to check her vitals and nodded with satisfaction, "You're recovering well, you can leave at any time."
"Thank you, Doctor Stuart, for your timely help."
Ella thanked him and felt at ease. Under any circumstances, her baby should remain unharmed.
Only then did she dare to sit up. Her spirit lifted and she joked, "Doctor Stuart, how was your meal?"
"Quite good." Alexander was content.
