"Sally, I want to ask you a question," Ella Lacey said, snapping back to reality and speaking seriously.
"Sis, just spit it out. No need to stand on ceremony with me." Sally Jefferson was in an incredibly good mood.
"Do you know where Harry is?" Ella Lacey asked, her pure eyes resting on Sally.
Sally Jefferson avoided her gaze and replied with a coy smile, "I have no idea. Ella, what made you think of him out of the blue?"
"Are you sure you don't know?"
Ella Lacey had a hard time believing that Sally didn't know given how the Jefferson family had been treating Harry… So, she tentatively asked, "I heard that your family is hunting him?"
"Really?" Sally Jefferson feigned surprise, her eyebrows knitting together, "Ella, I honestly don't know. If what you're saying is true, if he's being hunted, it's likely due to some family business secrets."
Sally Jefferson spoke with such eloquence and sophistication that she didn't leave room for misinterpretation.
