When Ella Lacey awoke, it was dark outside the window.
Dilbert Walker was by her side and comforted her, "Miss Ella, you are finally awake."
"...Huh?"
Ella mumbled, rubbing her eyes, realizing she was lying in a hospital bed. She immediately jumped off the bed, pouted, and anxiously asked, "Where's Arthur? I need to see him!"
"Miss Ella, are you sure you won't faint again?" Dilbert expressed his concern.
"It's all your fault, Uncle Dilbert! Why didn't you tell me he was sick? And it seems like a serious illness. I was totally unprepared..."
Ella, both upset and impatient, pushed him away and ran out. Dilbert caught up with her and guided her, "Miss Ella, come with me, this way."
They rushed to Arthur Lindsey's hospital ward.
All they saw was him, already detached from the oxygen machine, sitting upright, half-leaning against the head of the bed. In his white hospital attire, he didn't seem as fragile as a few hours before.
