At a split road not far from the Lindsey family's front gate, Louis Jefferson's car came to a halt, forced to stop by a black Lincoln commercial vehicle.
Agitated, Louis pushed open the car door and came forward to confront, "What are you doing? Is this deliberate, or are you just blind?"
"Pop——"
A crisp sound as the door was pushed open.
A man with a cropped beard stepped out of the Lincoln. With his masculine body and sleek attire, he cut an imposing figure.
He courteously nodded towards Louis, "Good day, Mr. Jefferson, I am here to pick up Miss Ella."
"Dilbert?"
Louis had seen Dilbert on his prior visits to Arthur Lindsey's office, aware that he was Arthur's special assistant. Why would he be here to pick up Ella?
"Could Arthur—"
Before Louis could finish—Arthur sent you to pick up Ella, right?
He was intentionally cut off by Dilbert. "Miss Ella is in the car, correct?"
