They all followed behind Arthur Lindsey, not daring to utter a word.
"Why are you following me!"
Arthur suddenly stopped, furious, "A bunch of useless people!"
"Mr. Lindsey, we're sorry, we failed to protect Miss Ella Lacey." The tall one led them in their repentance.
"Where's the shooter?" Arthur questioned coldly.
"Still... still in pursuit." They were frightened, knowing that Arthur despised inefficiency.
"Are you pigs? Go and provide backup now!" Arthur angrily pointed in the direction of the door.
They panicked, ready to bolt, when Arthur suddenly called them back, his voice low, "Does Ella know who you are, and what about Louis Jefferson, does he know?"
"Mr. Lindsey, Louis hasn't seen us yet, Miss Ella just knows we're the staff from the scenic area."
Hearing this answer, Arthur waved them away.
Then, he walked to the entrance of the main hall, seeing from afar, Ella was still crying in Louis's arms, her big eyes swollen like peaches.
One cried, causing him distress.
