Even when she got in the car, the smirk on Sally Jefferson's face remained.
Glaring hatefully at the retreating figure of Ella Lacey, she thought, "Does a bottom-rung student like her really need to dress herself up so beautifully?"
In Sally's eyes, such a pretty floral dress was utterly wasted on Ella!
"Louis Jefferson, why did you take Ella Lacey back to the Lindsey Family's house?" Sally asked sharply, her gaze fixed on him.
Louis jumped, quickly turning to look at her. Her usually dull eyes suddenly became sharp!
He thought of something instantly, it seemed that his initial suspicions were not wrong. Trying to keep his calm, he said, "Sally, had you not really lost your memory?"
"I planned on hiding it from you, but now there's no need. You wouldn't dare spill the beans, right?"
Leaning back in the rear seat with a smug look on her face, Sally threatened, "You do know what happens if you let the cat out the bag, right?"
