"Bang!"
There was a crisp thud of a heavy object falling.
Ella Lacey crashed into the ground, and Arthur Lindsey instinctively reached out to catch her.
But he was too late.
She had already fallen, her small body rolling onto a thick carpet, her long hair disheveled.
"Ella! You little girl!" Arthur trembled as he lifted her up, shout anxiously.
But the little one in his arms seemed to have fainted. Her eyes were closed, and her breath was faint.
"Call the doctor quickly!" said Arthur, rushing Ella to the bedroom while hurriedly instructing Mrs. Zhou.
Louis Jefferson ran down from the upstairs, like a fool, staring at Ella Lacey lying on the bed, her tears falling non-stop, "Why is she so silly, jumping when she said she would..."
Arthur turned his back.
His eyes, deep as a sea, were surprisingly misty.
He felt an incredibly heavy feeling in his chest, as if blocked by a huge rock!
Damn it!
Why was he so sure that the little girl would not jump off the building?
