The next day, after breakfast, Arthur Lindsey drove Ella Lacey to the gates of her high school.
As she was getting out of the car, Arthur suddenly asked tentatively, "Ella, did you intentionally give up on your previous mock exams, huh?"
Ella stared at him in surprise, "Arthur, how did you know?"
As soon as the words left her mouth, she realized that her comment might be a giveaway. She hastily changed her expression, "I meant how did you know that I gave up on many questions I didn't know how to answer?"
"…" Arthur's usually stern face took on a mysterious expression. After hesitating, he finally asked, "Tell me the truth, can you really get into a prestigious university?"
"Arthur, why are you asking this? It's only been a night. You're not... reneging on your promise, are you?"
