"Ella, are you really okay?" Tercy Mason looked at her, convinced something was wrong. Otherwise, why would she be sweating so much?
"Yes, Ella, don't keep it all inside you." Yolanda Bardot picked up a tissue, wiping the glistening beads of sweat from her forehead.
Seeing them both worry for her like this, Ella Lacey tried to smile, assuring them, "Tercy is right, Arthur must be discussing a partnership and the paparazzi have exaggerated it."
Then, she removed Yolanda's hand, wiped the sweat from her small face, and cheerfully said, "I won't overthink it. I'm sweating...because I've gained some weight recently. I sweat even...when I'm sitting still..."
Upon hearing she had put on weight, Tercy and Yolanda had no objections. Obviously, Ella's face had indeed put on more flesh than before.
"So rest assured. When Arthur comes back tonight, we'll have a clear conversation." Attempting to change the topic, Ella didn't want them to keep focusing on her weight gain.
