Ella Lacey took a bite of his jade finger, sniffled, and asked, "Are you afraid I will mess up your plan? What are you actually planning to do with Jason Lacey?"
"Ella, didn't you see it yourself? In the end, all those guards are under my command. If they step into this villa, they will never come back." Arthur Lindsey was quite confident.
And indeed, the facts eventually proved him right.
"So, you're afraid that if I come back, I'll be a drag on you?" Ella Lacey pouted.
"A bit..." Arthur Lindsey grinned mischievously, "But the main concern is for your safety. If something unexpected happened, it's hard to say how it would end."
"Arthur, you're so sweet." Ella Lacey kissed him.
Arthur Lindsey returned her kiss, pecked on her cherry lips, and apologized with deep implications, "Ella, I need to apologize to you, as it seems you might have actually helped?"
"Not really..." Ella Lacey was puzzled in her heart. Had he spotted the treasure?
