Arthur Lindsey returned to the mansion, where Penny Sullivan and Wilton Lindsey were still waiting for him in the living room.
On seeing him, Penny immediately took his arm, "You are returning so late."
"Mom, what happened?" Arthur sensed something was off in her tone. Had something gone wrong with Ella again?
"Not me, it's Ella!" Penny fretfully blurted out, sweat beading on her forehead.
"Ah, you're aware of the danger she encountered in the mountain, right?" Arthur asked, maintaining his usual calm.
"Yes, Louis told us all about it," Penny said, her face pale at the recollection. "I can't believe one of her good friends sacrificed himself for Ella. She's been crying and fussing, wanting to find him. Our family ought to be grateful and mourn with theirs. We should consider them as our own family from now on..."
