Chris turned his head to find Jeremy Thompson standing beside him. He glanced at Jeremy and then turned to look at Anna Ainsworth, about to speak, when Anna already preempted him.
"Chris, this is my friend, Mr. Thompson. You can just call him Brother Thompson," Anna hurriedly introduced, then added, "last night, your surgery was a success thanks to Brother Thompson's help."
"Is he your boyfriend?" Chris suddenly asked.
Ana hadn't expected Chris to ask that and couldn't react immediately. It was Jeremy who spoke first, "That's right, I am your sister's boyfriend."
"....." Anna was thoroughly overwhelmed with emotion. Jeremy, you can't play around like that, can you? How could you say something like that to Chris? She is still a married woman; how could she possibly have a boyfriend?
"Sis, I'm hungry," Chris suddenly turned to Anna: "I want some porridge. Does the hospital dining hall sell any?"
