Melody Duncan originally worked at a hospital on that side of Washington, and it was only because Mateo Torres married Bella White and transferred to City G that she applied for a transfer to City G as well.
She hadn't been at this hospital for long, less than one month, so not many patients sought her out, and she generally wasn't assigned any specific patients in the evenings.
After getting off work, she went to the nearby wet market to buy groceries. Dinner for one was actually very simple, she could have just picked any restaurant outside and be done with it, no need to cook for herself at all.
But she found that boring, mainly because it left her with too much time. Having just arrived in City G, she didn't have many friends and wasn't comfortable with hanging out or watching movies with people she wasn't very familiar with.
