In the evening, because he was leaving in two days, Joseph Thompson had been especially busy with work, arranging things for afterwards, which meant he didn't get back until after 10 p.m.
"Why haven't you gone to bed? What time is it now?" Joseph Thompson asked with a furrowed brow as he walked in and saw Jaylene Ziel bustling about in the room.
"I slept a lot at noon, so I'm not sleepy now," Jaylene replied honestly, looking up to see him approaching: "You're only getting back now, and you missed a formal meeting with Xaviar."
"Haha, a formal meeting?" Joseph chuckled upon hearing this, "He's just a kid, what's formal or informal about that? By the way, did you give Xaviar his gift today?"
"Of course, I did," Jaylene rolled her eyes at him. Did she look like someone who would be stingy with gifts?
"That's good then. I've also prepared a gift for Xaviar. I'll give it to him tomorrow morning."
