Susanna Smith and Ethan Thompson had already divorced, and all the property that was supposed to be given to her had been given. Susanna's belongings had also been moved out, so there should be no reason for her to come here again.
"I'll go take a look," Ethan Thompson said to the Old Madam, who was about to get up: "Mum, you don't need to get up, just continue lying down."
"Let her come in," the Old Madam had already stood up: "No matter what, she was your wife for more than twenty years. Even though you're divorced now, there's no reason to not let her in when she comes to visit. Even ordinary guests would be invited into the house, wouldn't they?"
Seeing that the Old Madam had said this, Ethan Thompson no longer opposed it. However, he truly did not wish to see Susanna, so he then said indifferently, "Since she is here to see you, I'll go upstairs first. I don't want to see her or talk to her, and there's nothing I can say to her."
