"Joseph Thompson, Joseph Thompson, Joseph Thompson," Jaylene Ziel hugged Joseph Thompson tightly, whispering his name over and over.
"If you don't let go soon, I might suffocate," a man's low voice came from above her head, chuckling slightly.
That's when Jaylene snapped back to reality, quickly loosening her grip before snuggling deeper into his embrace, curling up like a kitten in his arms.
Her ear pressed against his broad chest, she listened to his strong heartbeat, then whispered again and again, "Joseph Thompson, Joseph Thompson, Joseph Thompson..."
"Hey, I'm right here," Joseph held her tightly, "Jaylene, I am truly right here. I'm hugging you, I'm real, you're not dreaming, and I am not an illusion."
A smile played on Joseph's face, his lips curving up into a handsome arc.
"I know you're real, I know this isn't an illusion, I'm not dreaming," she said playfully, sticking out her tongue.
