"It's fine, Phoebe tripped on her own." Susanna hurriedly replied, then helped the limping Phoebe back to the house.
Joseph Thompson frowned slightly, glanced meaningfully at Susanna and Phoebe, then walked over to Jaylene and asked, "Why don't you sit in the car, aren't you cold standing here?"
"I can't see the fireworks well in the car," Jaylene replied truthfully. She had really wanted to see the fireworks here instead of getting in the car.
"Then get in the car, I'll take you to a place to watch the fireworks." Joseph laughed. "Actually, the fireworks in our residential area are secretly set off, so there's not much. The real place with lots of fireworks is on the beach."
"It's so far; I'd rather not go." Jaylene shook her head, opened the car door and got in. "I'd rather stay at home and watch the Spring Evening Show. The wind is strong at the beach. What if I catch a cold?"
