This question was on the tip of her tongue, and if Jaylene said no, wouldn't she seem petty?
So she said indifferently: "Since we all know each other well, why not sit down together? Our dishes haven't arrived yet, so just order whatever you want."
Jaylene thought that even if Hazel Hoffman sat down here, she should sit next to her. However, Hazel sat down beside Joseph Thompson instead.
"Sister-in-law, what did you order?" Hazel asked, holding the exquisite menu in her hand.
"I ordered the grilled eel rice," Jaylene answered truthfully.
"Then, I'll have a grilled eel rice as well," Hazel told the waiter who came over to take their orders, then asked Jaylene, "What drink did you order?"
Jaylene felt that Hazel was being rather odd, and she didn't understand why her choice of drink would concern Hazel, considering the variety of drinks on the menu. Why couldn't she order whatever she liked?
"I ordered boiled water," Jaylene mischievously replied, curious to see her reaction.
