The moment the door to the emergency room was pushed open, Joseph Thompson rushed up almost immediately. As soon as the doctor walked out, he hurriedly asked, "How is she? Does she sustain any serious injuries? Did the medication cause any disease?"
The doctor laughed at his words and reassured him quickly: "Don't worry, Jaylene is currently in a stable condition. Her fainting was caused by hunger and shock. She's being given nutritive injections right now."
"Oh, that's good." Joseph let out a long sigh of relief: "It's good she's okay. I'm glad she's okay."
"However, she did injure her wrists and ankles. The abrasion on her wrist is bit severe as it's already festering and showing signs of infection; we estimate that she'll need to be in the hospital for a couple of days for observation," the doctor continued.
