When Jaylene emerged from the bathroom after her shower, dressed in sleepwear, the lights in the kitchen had already been switched off, and there was no one in the living room. Glancing up at the time, it was eleven at night. She dried her hair with a towel, and as she turned around, she noticed a figure on the balcony. It seemed like Joseph was on a call.
"Mmm, I understand. Continue the investigation..." Joseph spoke into his mobile.
Whatever the person on the line said next, Joseph responded, "Alright, I'll appreciate your help with that. Also, assign someone to keep an eye on her."
After ending the call, Joseph turned around, only to notice Jaylene, clad in her sleepwear, standing in the doorway. The faintly furrowed brows on her face showed that she was still caught up in worry.
Joseph shook his head as he walked over to her, he placed his phone in his trouser pocket before taking the large towel from her hands, "Why didn't you dry your hair first?"
