"I saw Alexander at the police station tonight," Raine Thompson cut straight to the point: "Alexander told me to inform Miss Ziel not to listen to Aurora Richardson. He said that Uncle Ziel would be fine and that Jaylene shouldn't panic or act rashly."
Joseph Thompson looked at Jaylene Ziel next to him, and Jaylene quickly nodded: "Yes, Mrs. Preston just told me that."
In fact, Raine had only entered about five minutes before Joseph. She had just finished telling Jaylene these words when Joseph walked in.
"Did you buy the noodles?" Jaylene got up, took the noodles from Joseph's hand, then turned and headed towards the kitchen. At the doorway, she turned back and asked, "Miss Thompson, we are cooking noodles. Would you like to stay and eat with us?"
"Oh, no need, I've already had dinner." Raine Thompson shook her head quickly.
Looking at Jaylene holding a bunch of noodles in her hand, walking into the kitchen, and then at Joseph standing there, her heart was slightly confused.
