At the doorway of the emergency room in Hospital No.2, Aurora Richardson accused the investigating police officer in a tearful voice: "It was him who stabbed my mother with a fruit knife. I saw it with my own eyes, there's no doubt about it."
The police officer immediately spoke in a soothing tone: "Miss Richardson, please calm down and tell us what happened step by step. We are here to record your statement."
Aurora composed herself slightly, took a deep breath, and said, "I was hospitalized last week for a blood transfusion. Randy Ziel happened to have the same blood type as mine, so he came to give me blood. To show our gratitude, my mother and I decided to visit his home to say thank you."
