Early the next day, before Jaylene even got out of bed, the sound of Joseph's car could already be heard downstairs. She pulled off the quilt and got out of bed. She opened the floor-to-ceiling windows and indeed saw his car already driving into the yard.
She stood by the window, pushing open the transparent, mirror-like glass window, allowing the morning breeze to gently blow on her, her eyes intently focused on downstairs.
