At around 10 a.m., the supermarket was at the peak of shopping traffic. Today was Sunday, and a lot of companies were off work, so many white-collar people were buying groceries to cook.
Joseph Thompson pushed the shopping cart, followed by Jaylene Ziel. The two were not in a hurry, strolling leisurely in the supermarket, enjoying the fun of home life.
Compared to eating out, Jaylene preferred this kind of life. The two enjoyed the process of picking vegetables together, and the process by which ingredients became delicious dishes.
She never understood why her mother enjoyed cooking so much, but now she understood a little. For ordinary women, cooking could be a great pleasure of life.
"There are free-range chickens over there. Let's buy one and make some soup," Joseph pointed to the Fresh Produce Area, and signaled for Jaylene to go that way.
