Jaylene shook her head, tears swirling in her eyes. She was too emotional to speak and was afraid that tears would fall at any moment.
"Is it because Frederick Richardson asked you to do bone marrow matching with him?" Ricky Lewis guessed.
"No," Jaylene shook her head and took a deep breath to steady her emotions. "Frederick Richardson must be crazy! He's having delusions, and when he sees me, he talks nonsense. I guess he not only has bone cancer but also has hysteria. His nerves are abnormal, probably a mental illness."
"Who's mentally ill?" The elevator door next to them opened, and Aurora Richardson, just stepping out, heard Jaylene's last words and walked up angrily to question her.
Jaylene hadn't noticed the elevator door, as she was preoccupied speaking with Ricky. Aurora approached her, and Jaylene could feel some saliva spattering her face.
