"I didn't know it was a luxury car," Jaylene lamented, "I always thought it was a Touareg. I drove a luxury car for a while, but I never found the feeling of driving one. Isn't that pathetic?"
"..." Filbert was once again rendered speechless. Jaylene was indeed an extraordinarily simple person, and perhaps it was this simplicity that Joseph found so appealing in her?
The highway back home had some traffic jams, but thankfully, Filbert had prepared some snacks for the ride, so Jaylene didn't go hungry.
...
At 8 p.m., Filbert's car finally stopped downstairs in front of Jaylene's house. Jaylene thanked Filbert and reached for the luggage bag he handed her.
"Do you need help carrying it upstairs?" Filbert asked warmly.
"No, thank you," Jaylene took the bag and smiled at Filbert, "Thank you again."
After thanking Filbert, Jaylene carried her luggage up the stairs. As she neared her doorstep, her mobile phone rang. Not surprisingly, the call was from Joseph Thompson.
