Jaylene took out her mobile phone and saw that it was a call from Grandma's house. She hesitated for a moment before pressing the answer key.
"Jaylene, your grandma is sick. Tell your mum to come back as soon as possible," said Aunt Rylee, the next-door neighbor, sounding somewhat anxious.
"What, Grandma's sick?" Jaylene was startled, "What about my uncle and aunt?"
"Your uncle's family left for L City this afternoon. They're probably on the train now. We can't reach your uncle's phone..." the neighbor's voice continued.
Jaylene suddenly remembered that her aunt was from L City, which was over 1,000 kilometers away from her Grandma's house. It would take more than twenty hours on a train, and she'd heard that they had to transfer to a bus or something after getting to L City.
"Aunt Rylee, please help me take my grandmother to the hospital for now, and cover the expenses for me. I'll go to the train station right away to buy tickets and get back as soon as possible..."
