Now, when Aurora said she would invite a friend over, Jaylene had a vague guess in her heart that the friend was probably her new boyfriend.
After Aurora finished the phone call with a cold and gloomy face, Giana Watson hurriedly asked in a low voice, "Aurora, what's wrong? Your friend... is he not available?"
"He said there are a lot of things going on in the company, and he's busy in a meeting. He wants us to eat lunch by ourselves and he'll pick up the tab." Aurora said this with an inevitable hint of irritation in her tone.
"Aurora, your grandfather..." Giana had just started speaking when Aurora interrupted her.
"Mum, don't mention those excessive demands from my grandfather. I can't possibly marry a fool just for his face." Aurora said angrily.
Giana nodded, showing her understanding of her daughter's decision, and then gently advised, "How about that singer, Hendrick Crawford? He likes you a lot, doesn't he?"
