"Lawyer York, you indeed have a good plan," Jaylene took a sip of her grapefruit juice and spoke indifferently, "If it was two months ago, or to be precise, half a month ago, I might have considered helping you."
"You mean, you refuse to help me now?" Olaf York furrowed his brow.
"I cannot agree now," Jaylene smiled as she told him, "Lawyer York might not know since you just returned from overseas, but Joseph Thompson publicly proposed to me last week. We were surrounded by a crowd and many reporters, so I accidentally agreed to his proposal."
Although the situation was indeed pressing, she had accepted. She did not want to deny this, nor did she want to deceive Olaf York.
